What would an Eviction Judicare attorney do?
- Represent low-income Hoosiers at possession and/or damages hearings across Indiana;
- Help tenants identify and assert defenses or counterclaims; and
- Negotiate with landlords to avoid or reduce the impact of an eviction
What do Eviction Judicare attorneys receive?
- $100/hour when representing an individual client (up to 6.25 hours per case)
- $40/hour when working at a PBI-sponsored eviction clinic
- Expense reimbursement for mileage and related court costs
- FREE CLE, training, and support from PBI
- Malpractice insurance coverage for their Judicare cases and clinic work
