Eviction Judicare Program

Pro Bono Indiana's Eviction Judicare Attorney Program pays private attorneys to represent low-income tenants going through the eviction process. 

  • Apply to the program 
  • Judicare Forms (W9, Attorney Agreement, & expense reimbursement forms)
  • Submit your case report online (takes you to Google Forms)

About the Eviction Judicare Attorney Program

Who are Judicare attorneys? 

  • Judicare attorneys are private attorneys contracted to provide legal services and representation to low-income clients of a pro bono or legal aid program in exchange for payment at a reduced hourly rate.  


What would a Judicare attorney do? 

  • Represent low-income Hoosiers at their eviction possession and/or damages hearings across Indiana; 
  • Help tenants identify and assert defenses or counterclaims; and 
  • Negotiate with landlords to avoid or reduce the impact of an eviction


What do Judicare attorneys receive? 

  • $100 per hour (up to 6.25 hours per case) 
  • Expense reimbursement for mileage and related court costs
  • FREE CLE. training, and support from PBI
  • Malpractice insurance coverage for their Judicare cases and clinic work
